Facebook founder Eduardo Saverin gives undisclosed sum to former Miss Singapore Universe Rachel Kum to start her own cosmetic line

What’s the relationship between Facebook and cosmetics? They appear to be worlds apart, but that still doesn’t stop one of Facebook original founders Eduardo Saverin (pic: left with Rachel Kum, source: Hardwarezone forum) for giving an undisclosed sum to former Miss Singapore Universe Rachel Kum to start her own cosmetic company Rachel K, according to reports by English tabloid Daily Mail.
Mr Saverin who comes from a wealthy Brazilian family, was friends with Mark Zuckerberg when they attended Harvard in 2004 and originally invested in Facebook which left him with an estimated $2billion fortune, according to Forbes.
Though Mr Saverin’s initial state of 33 percent has been watered down to 2 percent, he will still be an incredibly rich man when Facebook launched its IPO on May 18.
He now resides in Singapore where he has become well known for his flamboyant playboy lifestyle of being in the company of the super-rich, high society crowd and supermodels including former Miss Singapore Rachel Kum.
Mr Saverin made the stunning announcement during a launch for the brand at a rooftop party
“With a company like Facebook, it’s not just three people deciding how the world communicates, it’s really about providing a tool so your customers can be themselves…I think it really inspired me to see that she [Rachel Kum] went from Miss Singapore to pushing her line, that she’s going with her passion.”
Mr Saverin did not reveal the amount of money he invested in Ms Kum’s company.

the guy is rich and successful naturally gals will be attracted to him. no big deal, except he should have exercised some discretion and no mention her so publically or maybe he is just too madly in love with her and totally obsessed with her. At the end of day leave pple to have their own lives

The amount of pettiness on this blog astounds me, as a wordly, educated young professional residing here.
So you clowns not realize that without us Americans, you would today be speaking Japanese?

So, why are you in Singapore? Shouldn’t you be in US helping your debt-ridden country? Or are you escaping taxes as well?

Whats the problem? She managed to obtain foreign investment for her company. Shouldn’t she get praised for that? Maybe all you critics not happy you can’t get laid. Anyhow, I’d settle for a ton of Rachael Kums than more Ms Saw or Ms Ho Chings.
