VIDEO: “Honor God by your generous giving” – Kong Hee

In one of his sermons, disgraced founder of City Harvest Church (CHC) Kong Hee told the congregation to ‘honor’ God by their generous giving.
CHC found itself in the public spotlight lately after Kong Hee and four other members were charged on Wednesday for misusing the church’s funds and criminal breach of trust.

The church has lost it humbleness,simplicity,hope,warm but most of all love. Their main concern is how big my church and most pastors trying building more bigger church. Everything is ab out money, how to rise it than powerstruggle. They will squit to the last drop and preach on fear in thiding. They want more businessmen/ceobut where is the warm love for the poor,destitute,lost,hurt,prostitute which have been distance. They treat their congregation like soldier no question ask. The gospel have been preach thewrong way for the benefit of few.

This is so outrageous. Our prayers are empty unless we empty our wallets to God! What utter rubbish. When I pray to God I do not think about money. I praise God for his loving kindness, his blessings, his presence in me.
It has nothing to do with money. This is the root of the problem…linking money to faith… creating a sense of guilt that if you do not give, then you are not faithful to God. I shake my head in disbelief that we can have pastors deceiving people.
And we can see what has happened to the money collected.

The good Christians must come out to “speak” to CHC worshippers with scriptures from the Bible. Only the “proof” from the Bible can waver their stubbornness. Shocking that the Bible isn’t always used in their church. Since when as a human being, a man become more convincing than the Bible itself, and pulling things out of context to be self-serving to the sermons.

there are many ways to honor God, and God looks at the heart. Therefore, the biblical law is what we can do for God,grace is what God can do for us. We can honor God by obeying his law, $ is just 1 of the many ways to honor Him. Whats the use when a person gives a huge amount of tithe when the next moment he dishonors God?

I just cannot imagine that so many people can fall prey to such preachings which value their Faith in God by the value of money
taken out of their pockets to fill fhe coffers of the CHC for use other than for humanitarian purposes. Goodness gracious, he even dyed his hair in Apache fashion and kept referring to the book on the rostrum. His Faith in God is not resolute or well grounded for if it is so, he would be speaking from his Heart where the true meaning of Faith in God rests and not making references to the book or notes.

I wonder how someone is disgraced when they are charged and yet to be convicted? If that is the case, we do not need the judiciary system, just charge them and that is enough.
He may or may not be guilty, we can only conclude after final judgement isn’t it? Be kind to those who are charged, cause some are really innocent like some time ago a man was charge for molest but found innocent, simply the girl taking revenge on being wronged.
