SPF issues media statement distancing Police Commissioner Ng Joo Hee from ex-NCS Director Esther Goh

Posted by temasektimes on June 15, 2012

The Singapore Police Force has issued a statement on its Facebook page today distancing Police Commissioner Ng Joo Hee from ex-NCS Director Esther Goh who was alleged to have provided sexual services to disgraced ex-SCDF Chief Peter Lim Sin Pang.

The statement was made in response to a photograph featuring Mr Ng presenting a token of appreciation to Ms Esther Goh which has been circulating widely on the internet.

Mr Ng has expressed deep ‘regrets’ that “the photograph has been misused by irresponsible persons online as a basis for making vulgarities, inanities and all manner of mischievous innuendos.”

Ho Yenn Dar, the Assistant Director of Media Relations, SPF took pains to stress that Mr Ng is not acquainted with Ms Goh and the photograph in question was taken during a Police charity concert to benefit the Community Chest on 12 October 2011.

During the event, Mr Ng presented tokens to donors who gave more than $10,000, including Ms Goh who represented NCS.

“It will be unfortunate and most unfair should the Community Chest and the charities that it supports suffer because of the actions of a few misguided and irresponsible individuals,” the statement ended.

Ng Joo Hee is the first scholar who fits the bill for the post of CP or Police Chief.
Unlike his predecessor, he is both brainy and brawny. He is a marathoner as well as a tri-athlete….unlike the shorty nerds before him.
He looks very impressive in uniform as he has the height and the stature.
Our SAF and Police Chief must always be tall and brawny otherwise they look comical in uniform.

Like the fatty Chief of Army last time, LTG Ng.

Yes, and not surprisingly he only lasted 2 years as he resembled the late rolly-polly Kim Jong I LL and Mindef was wary of mix-ups in the international media….methinks.

You are right! How can shoties become army, police chief or Minister for Home Affair or Minister for Defence?

Mike, the previous one is Khoo Boon Hui and he is not short. You are referring to Tee which is donkey years ago. From what you said, you are discriminating short people. I don’t agree with you and Deng of China would not agree with you neither in his grave, and his billion followers.

First you get your facts wrong and then you made discriminating remarks. I feel quite low to even to reply to you.

        What a silly a-hole u r…..
I was talking solely about UNIFORMED top dogs, not political leaders like Ministers. They can even be dwarfs but have the education, intelligence and wisdom to be national leaders.
I also feel low replying to your idiotic response.

      Dear Mike Zeng,

Looks may be important. But what’s more important are values, character and attributes.

Dont be deceived by looks and outward appearances.

Singapore need leaders who care for Singaporeans and have compassion. I would rather settle for Goh Keng Swee rather than LHL or TCH. Who do you think is a better leader, GKS or TCH?

      • Mike Zeng said

As above, I was talking solely about uniformed leaders in the SAF and the SPF, not our civilian leaders in the civil service and the cabinet.
Get your facts right first before shooting from your hips. This applies to SBG above as well. At least I stated my name but you 2 are hiding behind pseudonyms…fear of what?

Yup, all that glitters are not gold!
You can’t judge a person with their outward appearance & external superficial looks & features!

    Hey Dude!

    You’re very naive indeed!
Do you think corruption cases involving top civil servants (with superscale salary scheme) only got 2 cases (CNB & SCDF)
    so far ka?

Maybe, only 2 cases involving superscale top civil servants out of a total of more than 10 cases are accidentally & inadvertently made known to public domain & for public pleasure…the rest are swept under the carpets inconspicuously lah…

How else would you expect our best & highest paid govt in the world to “wash every dirty linen in public” for public consumption & pleasure as it will make a mockery of themselves, right?

If so, there won’t be any claims & true stories of favouritism, nepotism & cronyism practiced by some quarters & organizations already (please think)!

I regret to say that it is these irresponsible officers and wayward women that bring disrepute and tarnish the image of their office. No such thing will happen if these people have integrity and morality. An officer and a gentleman is always aware of his duty to the nation, people, office and his family.

I think CP Ng should not Insult the intelligence of netizens. Yes there would be a few exceptions, but generally netizens are well educated and savvy enough to know that the pic of him presenting a token of appreciation to Esther Goh is just that and has no implications to him whatsoever. They know It was his duty as the CP to do the presentations to all the big donors which included Esther’s then company.
    Nothing more, nothing less.
The 1 or 2 netizens hinting at Ng’s likely involvement with EG was obviously tongue-in-cheek. Netizens always try to be humorous online.
Let’s not under-rate the intelligence and wisdom of netizens.
They were mainly focussing on EG’s pic.
I dont think she’s such a femme fatale to attract all macho males.
    Maybe Cecilia Sue could…I dunno.

Typical pap reply. Always to take others together with them and make them as victims. Tbh, if NJH is indeed doing that, will it come as any surprise now? Well….you be the judge. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts completely. Even with monetary rewards.
