Kong Hee reaches out to supporters on Facebook

Posted by temasektimes on July 5, 2012

After a hiatus of five days, disgraced founder of City Harvest Church pastor Kong Hee has resumed posting on his Facebook again to reach out to his supporters.

In less than 10 hours, he posted 6 messages on his Facebook wall including one testimonial from a CHC member and another show of support by two members to ‘keep calm and carry on praying.’

He shared a twitter post by a member Cecilia Chan on an interview given by a Adeline Khoo to the Straits Times during which she recalled the help given to her by his wife Sun Ho when she was down and depressed.

Kong Hee was charged last Wednesday together with four other CHC board members for misusing up to S$50 million dollars of the church funds to further the music career of his singer wife Ho Yeow Sun.

Below are some comments left by his supporters on Facebook:

“We will always always always always belived in you Pastor ♥” – Yan Ping

“康希牧师,陈牧师和team, 神的计画和一切的奇跡及作为,只有神的子民才能够明白。加油,我们爱你们和CHC.” – Andy Ming

“”No weapon formed against you shall prosper. And every tongue which rises against you in judgement You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. And their righteousness is from Me.” Says the Lord (Is. 54:17). NEGU (Never Ever Give Up) Pst. Kong:)” – Andrea Khoo

Why cant these people stop making all these remarks and let the case be. Each statement, posting or comment will ignite thousands of other comments, inflame anger, passions and negativity. There really is no positive side to all these ‘contributions” by Kong Hee.

If he believes that he is innocent and that his God will save him, then stop all this nonsense and trust in the powers and justice of his lord. Harnessing support and continually whipping up the fervour of his faithful will not in any way change the outcome of the case, good or bad. It only creates a deeper fault line that leads to more harm than good.

And I simply cannot understand why a man of god, a pastor would want to do that – unless he truly believes the actions of our Govt is bias and unfair, a personal witch-hunt against him.

There have been many holy figures that have endured ‘persecution’ in history and the truly enlightened ones have never raised a finger. Perhaps it is time for Kong Hee to reflect on his recent actions and words and see how they measure up against his religion, faith and biblical examples.

Hmm one thing about “If he believes that he is innocent and that his God will save him, then stop all this nonsense and trust in the powers and justice of his lord.” – that came a bit late for many of the saints eh???

“And I simply cannot understand why a man of god, a pastor would want to do that…” – Because he is just a man like you and me (maybe you’re a lady?) bound to temptation, greed and all sins you can think of. And in fact, I’m not the least bit surprised.

  10. Most ppl who blindly jn any religion group are childish!

Kong Hee does not like any posts that does not speak in his favour. He has been deleting those posts and blocking those who posted against him.

We shall see after the court trial how “holy” he and his cronies are. Their members will wriith in their misplaced trust or in self-denial even if they are found guilty. Kong Hee is playing to the gallery and stoking these guiillible minds. The rest of us are watching, both Christians and non-Christians. May the law take its course fearlessly and without favour

Matthew 24:9 – at that time, many who believe will lose their faith. They will turn against each other and hate each other.

Matthew 24:11-12 – there will be more and more evil in the world. So people will stop showing their love for each other. But the person who continues to be strong until the end will be saved.

Philippians 1:15-18 – it is true that some preach about Christ because they are jealous and bitter. But others preach about Christ because they want to help. They preach because they have love, and they know that God gave me the work of defending the Good News. But others preach about Christ because they are selfish. Their reason for preaching is wrong. They want to make trouble for me in prison.

But I do not care if they make trouble for me. The important thing is that they are preaching about Christ. They should do it for the right reasons. But I am happy even if they do it for the wrong reasons. And I will continue to be happy.

The issue for those who believe in Christ regarding the recent events shouldn’t be about making judgements. Because 1) let those who have no sin cast the first stone, 2) who are we to judge; only God sees our heart. And because He has commanded us to love. To love God, to love our neighbours, even to love our enemies.

If you believe that Christ is your Lord, then concentrate on making your life right before him. He will judge us individually. Let us not tear down the body of Christ (the church), because each of us serve in different ways for different functions but for the same God.

Ok I won’t judge KH until the verdict is out. But I’ll judge you blind Christians who don’t judge who an why you are donating money, and do not diversify your fraud risks.

I donated lots of money to charities. If something like this happens, guess how much is my donation next year? Zero.

Ignorant followers. When Jesus preached when the pagan is at its heights, he dunn stay in mansions or held concerts. He dunn live a lavish lifestyle. Does God creates this teachings?

It is very frightening that most CHC supporters are using God’s name in vain. By making statements without researching into the meaning of the Scriptures would tantamount to using the name of God in vain. This is unthinkable. I wonder if the pastoral team does advise their members. I hope it would not go out of boundaries.

Must put this Con Hee in jail as early as possible.
He is a dangerous man… oops.

  22. hysterical said

Maybe he’ll start a church in prison and call it the church of the con-victed?? Yes yes triple pun in there.

  23. Jon said

Kong Hee is a con artist. I am surprised that a lot of morons still worship him like God. Wake up my lost children. This mother fucking Kong Hee is a con man. Most likely he will face life prison once he is convicted.

Con Hee will have lots of time to communicate with God in his prison cell and perhaps he could become a better pastor.

Life prison is much worse than death prison. Most likely his wife will remarry while Kong Hee rots in his miserable cell.

Con Hee, I shall start living under the bridge now like a homeless immediately as this will help you to settle down quicker when you go to jail.

    God Bless.
