The woman Karmen Siew has taken to her Facebook on 13 September to share about her encounter:

“So I was on the train. And this fucker next to me brushes his hand against my thigh. I’m like ok. Maybe it was accidental. So I cross my right leg over my left to create space between us. He inches in and intentionally brushes against me. I squeeze my legs into the far corner of the seat, and he inches in and brushes against me AGAIN. I stand up and move one seat down.”

She also complained that the MRT staff did nothing to help her and allow the molester to get away.

The police said in a media statement on Monday:

“Through follow-up investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him along Hougang Avenue 5 on Sunday. The suspect had allegedly molested the woman on board the train. He is believed to have molested the victim a second time after she alighted the train.”

If convicted for outrage of modesty, he can be jailed for up to two years and/or fined and caned.

Goh Chok Tong: I do not get paid a single cent for being ESM!

Posted by temasektimes on September 19, 2018

Former PAP Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong has lashed out at his critics for continuing to spread baseless rumors of him receiving a ministerial salary.

In a post on his Facebook page, Mr Goh said:

“I shall use this opportunity to debunk public perception that I am paid a ministerial salary. ESM is merely a title with no pay.”

His post came two days after government website “Factually” debunked online claims about ministerial pay.

Mr Goh was widely lampooned recently by Singaporeans for proclaiming publicly that PAP ministers are not being paid enough and that those who earn less than $500,000 a year are “mediocre”
