TAFEP to investigate NAS Daily for hiring Vietnamese over Singaporean

Posted by temasektimes on August 17, 2019

The Tripartite Alliance on Fair Employment Practices (TAFEP) has launched an investigation into controversial vlogger Nas Daily for employing a Vietnamese for a job position based in Singapore instead of a native Singaporean.

The Israeli-Arab who relocated to Singapore recently at the invitation of the PAP regime’s leader Lee Hsien Loong sparked public anger by praising Singapore as an “almost perfect” country and dismissing Singaporeans as “crybabies” whom he will never hire.

In a Facebook ad published last week, Nas Daily wrote he was looking to hire the “best” Vietnamese videomaker in Vietnam to work in Singapore as part of his team.

Apart from providing an email address, the post also put up a US$500 reward for those who share the post with a person who eventually gets the job.

In response from the state media, TAFEP said it was following up on complaints from Singaporeans on Nas Daily’s discriminatory hiring policies:

“Regardless of the medium in which the job advertisement is posted, TAFEP expects all employers to abide by the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices which applies to all Singapore-based jobs.”

It added it takes a serious view of all forms of discriminatory employment practices which are not in line with the guidelines and it works closely with the Manpower Minister to take appropriate action against employers who breach the guidelines.

Being a favourite foreign pet of Lee and widely rumoured to the PAP’s unofficial foreign propagandist, it remains to be seen if real action will be taken against Nas Daily or he will be given just another light slap on his wrist as a “wayang” to placate angry Singaporeans.
