A senior banker not only mistook the race of a man she got to know through SpeedDate on Facebook, but was even aware that she was raped by him on their first date!
41 year old by Azuar Aham was charged in High Court today for raping and molesting 22 women he just met.
He introduced himself as a ‘Shawn Tan’ to the senior banker whose identity is kept confidential under a court gag order and managed to deceive her into believing that he is a dentist working at a private hospital.
After meeting Azuar for a drink, she became unconscious after which he brought her to a hotel in Lavender Street and filmed himself raping her before checking out with her at 2am.
She woke up at home and when she called Azuar, he claimed she had been intimate with him. As she was unable to recall her love-making session with Azuar, she dropped the matter.
Only when she was called up by the police did she finally realize that he had raped her and filmed it.

Hey are you batshit crazy? If “other’s people” equals a news site then yes they better be goddamn perfect in their grammar. This is about professionalism and not “other people” feelings. If they have no editors or don’t even bother to double check their articles before posting them up, it simply shows they are not concerned with the integrity of their words. If TR wants to be a reliable news site, they better be less concerned about their feelings and meet the minimum of professional writing- which is perfect grammar. But since they have “Protestor”s like you who can’t spell for shit (much less write with proper grammaR) coming to their defense blindly and without logic, I don’t see why they would be bothered to change.
And yes, if you are a news site, you better be a perfectionist.
P.S- Law you might be right, maybe there really are FTs working for this obviously anti-FT non-govt site.

How about this? During a periodic audit, it was discovered that her account had received a very large unauthorized load… as the deposit was recorded by the ATM camera, the depositor is now being investigated for money laundering 🙂

We will never get the full story as there will always be some hidden ‘truths’ in all sides of the story. Much of what we read are speculative in nature as the victim and the perpetrator have not come out to say a single word of what really happened in the relationship. Also, I could not fathom how a senior banker with years of working experience and exposure can fall prey to someone who can easily pull a fast one on her and brought her to bed without her knowledge whatsoever.

senior banker is only a title that suggests financial skills and knowledge, but not necessarily streetsmart, i.e be wary of strangers and have situaton awareness.
while i sympathise with her, i hope she learns from it, because in certain cities, the victim gets drugged and awakes with kidney or some other organ missing.
