A netizen took a snapshot of a fatal accident this morning at Bugis involving a Ferrari, a Comfort taxi and a motorcycle.

According to Channel News Asia, the accident occurred at the junction of Rochor Road and Victoria Street.
The driver of the Ferrari, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Four others sustained injuries and were sent to various hospitals.

just to clarify, from what i have read, all have now passed away. the ferrari driver ran a red light and smashed into the taxi driver. a family now have no husband and father and a hoon driver in a high powered sports car must not have known how to handle his own car or might have liked to show off without regard to others lives or safety. just my thoughts

About time Tfc police introduce more speed traps, speed cameras, road humps in high density housing, schools, etc. LTA can consider putting a speed limiter with approved seal on high performance cars. Since the max speed on expressways is 90kph then there is no reason to go beyond 120kph, 140kph.
In fact, dangerous or reckless drivers should be suspended and made to retake their driving test, even for first time offenders, and if proven to be the cause of serious injuries/deaths, permanently banned with a mandatory jail term.

Condolences to the taxi driver’s and the passenger’s family. It is really a tragedy, caused by the reckless drunk driver. Hope that the family of Ma Chi would choose to give in and apologise on the behalf of their son, and pay compensation to the victims’ family. Afterall, if he hadn’t gone to zouk, and drink driving, this tragedy wouldn’t have occurred. He was spotted at zouk, drinking with the hostess (which we may assume it was the lady in his car).

HAHAHA ? 2)Red LED traffic light are SO STRIKING n OBVIOUS at night , nobody can say cant see it even 500 meter away, and 500m is more than enough for a 40foot heavy slow reacting container truck to stop ,tell me what more excuses does that ferrari which is lighter and equipped with SUPER brakes than a container truck has. 3)Braking???? …. any1 heard any attemp of braking from the ferrari ??? i heard NONE !!!! He went in swift n swept that taxi just like a jet fighter dashing thru.. I will say a NORMAL reaction for a human being in that “red car” would have step the brake out of thier life even if its only an animal infront , let alone human beings !!!! And to correct many comments out there abt cabby lookin LEFT RIGHT , i tell u , u drive LOOK STRAIGHT , LOOK SIDES using MIRRORS n BLIND SPOT , NOT LEFT RIGHT becos is ENDAGERING infront . Why nobody notice the road divider being set at the middle of the road!!!! It just too high for both side drivers to see the coming traffics. And because of this….. it always accident at that junction!!
